Using Adobe Flash Player for Movies

When using the Internet, you may attempt to play in imbedded video file on a specific website, only to find it does not play on your computer. This is because Adobe Flash is required. Adobe Flash is an programming application that allows the computer to play streaming files. Without the application, the computer is unable to play the movie files. Thankfully, the application is free to download and only requires a small bit of time in order to install the file and play the movies on the computer.

Launch the Internet browser on your computer, then head over to the website you want to play the videos on. When you attempt to play the file, you are informed of the browser’s lack of Adobe Flash. A link is given for you to download the programming content. Select this link and you are directed directly to the Adobe Flash download page.

Click the Adobe Flash download link and the programming file begins to download to the computer. The file is small, so it only takes a few moments to complete the download. Once done, the installation wizard loads onto the screen.

Before proceeding, you do need to close out the current Internet browser. The browser is not able to install onto the computer until the browser is off, as it is not capable of updating itself while open. Once the browser is closed the installation takes pace.

Open the Internet browse and return to the website with the video file. This time, when the video file is selected it automatically begins to play on the screen. Click the “Pause” button at any time to pause the process, or select the audio feature to increase or decrease the volume. There is also a full screen toggle to play videos in full screen.
